Advice from Spirit: How to feel less anxious and stressed
With all the stress people face daily, we thought it would be a good idea to pass on Spirit’s advice on how to feel less anxious and stressed. Spirit has always given us advice through the years and often it is based on simplicity and common sense.

HELEN: What can people do to feel less anxious and stressed?
JEN/UNIVERSAL SOURCE: Realize you can control the experience in some way, to make it tolerable. Yet, letting go of control can place you in a peaceful situation; much like letting go instead of worrying, since solutions come from a creative place, not from fear. Only you can decide what you need to do. No pat answers will suffice. Perhaps a walk, a good massage to release the muscles from the tension of what the mind has said to do. Then work on the way you think, if it is causing you stress and harm within.
Daily things can include being vigilant in your thinking, remembering to stay within the moment, rerouting your thoughts instead of controlling your thinking, since controlling thinking might set the whole cycle off again. Try for a few moments at a time, and then move to five minutes at a time, remembering that rerouting your thoughts when they have been used to being a wild child will be tiring to start with, and you will feel like giving up. However, the sure way to release stress is to surrender the mind to beautiful thoughts, whatever that means to you.
